For those who don't know I've been working as a retail caricaturist for the past four years. It was a great experience, and I'd recommend it to anyone. It really forces you to think and draw quickly which gives a big boost to your skills. I took a promotion with my company and moved to Ohio, then moved back to Illinois last year in what I call a parallel promotion (same position, different place, slightly better salary and benefits). And since January, I started working for a small game company, Game Refuge. It's been a pretty good time. The project we're about to start working should be exciting. I might hop back over to the park( Six Flags Chicago) from time to time and do some live sketches over the summer, cus its a good time and itll keep me fresh.
This year I'm really going to be trying to push my limits in art. My first step was that Tomb Raider piece for that contest. Can only keep growing from there. Last minute decision to enter that contest and I think it came out well given the amount of time I gave myself. I don't think I would get anything done if I didn't procrastinate
I think that's the only thing that's worth sharing. What's new with you?
